When the sun is out I always put my solar powered lucky cats in the window so they can bob and beckon furiously. Somehow, I feel like I am making them happy.

Butternut squash with browned butter and thyme.

My attempt at pumpkin pie.
I burned the pie (though not as bad as I first thought)
and my finger (worse than I thought.. it still hurts)!

On Thursday we had a last minute invite to Brock's brother's for dinner and then after that we already had plans to go to my sister's for dinner. That's what I made the squash and pie for, though no one there really likes squash.. But we do and we loved it! Also, someone else brought a pumpkin pie that looked better than mine (not a hard task, haha) so mine didn't get cut into, but that was fine because then we got to bring it home and enjoy it here. :) Saturday was Thanksgiving with my family at my grandma's house. I made a corn casserole for dinner there, but I was in a great hurry that day, so no pictures of that! Sadly, Brock ended up really sick that day so he didn't get to go. Also, I was sort of mad at him the entire day, due to a misunderstanding, but all was worked out and the day ended well. :)
First time poster on a mission.
This is for a college project. I'm making a webpage featuring a gallery of a variety of artist's works. I need people to draw/paint/sketch half of the right side of a face (the subject's right, and you can use an already completed work as long as you made it, or have permission from the artist), and any photograph of a face of your choice for the left half of the face. You can alter the photo in anyway that that you think it fits better with the right half. I'm really interested in what people will come up with. Please put your name, initials, or some manner of ownership either on the work or in the description and send it to vividarchetype@gmail.com. Also please comment in this post that you contributed, so I can make sure that I got your email. I'll post the gallery's website here so everyone can view it. The website should be done by mid December. Multiple submissions are welcomed.
I'll greatly appreciate any contributions, but please submit your work or works before December 12th.
Thank you so much!

Working in the music industry has its perks, privileges, and pains as anyone who works in it knows. No matter what your genre is, one thing remains the same for all artists: You need to bring attention to yourself, your music, and your events. And while there are several ways to do so, few are as effective (in terms of cost or exposure) as a well written press release.
Writing a press release may prove to be a challenge to those whose focus is solely on their musical ability and efforts, but it doesn't have to be. There's an art to writing a good press release just like there's an art to making good music. In fact, a well written press release is simply you on paper. There are many tricks to the trade, and I'm going to share some of several of them with you: The Seven Essentials of Press Release Writing.

I love this, its so cute and chic and elegant...all the things I am not, but I bought something like this last month.
Little Black dress - this shape hides the big butt and legs :) But I have to put a little jacket over it though. A Shrug will nicely too.
I have one like this, except mine has 3 clasps...
This is pretty, but once again you need to cover the upper arms. I hate my upper arms.
These are great, I know big earrings are tacky, but I like these! Mine has little hearts on it.
Everyone go and post your own wardrobe wants and needs!

I hate putting together Christmas Lists.
I have two things.
TWO.

For a bit of background, I occasionally do bits of work for the Gainsborough Heritage Association, a charity in the town near me. This has led into me getting involved (By doing the following) with a campaign for getting headstones for war graves in one of the cemeteries and as part of the research they do there in keeping a record of the stones which in turn help families to be traced.
On seeing an image I did for Remembrance Day, I’ve been asked to edit that image a tad (Just throw to in two more poppies, I’ll beefing it up by my own choice on top of this) and create an image showing the bio-diversity of the cemetery it’s self using photos my mother has taken. These’ll be used for that, the poppies for the header of their newsletter and I can’t for the life of me remember with the other, think that will depend on how it turns out.
As this is a charity I will not be paid directly but a select amount from my grandmother who works for the Heritage Association (I’m happy with it) and I know she’ll pay as she has done for whenever I’ve done work for them before albeit this is the first time it’s been art related. There is no set deadline either.
So my question is, is there anything I need to get done and sorted before I get into the meat of this little project? I’m editing the poppy image right now (Here for the curious, never tried anything like this before) and hopefully get to work on the from scratch one soon. Thanks for any help, highly appreciated! :)
